01 / Website care plan
What should a website care plan cover?
A care plan needs a handoff as much as a list of tasks. The person maintaining the site cannot know that your hours changed unless someone tells them. Agree on who supplies each update before agreeing on a routine.
Include the information customers rely on
Read a care proposal alongside the pages customers use. Check whether it covers changes to hours, menus and service details. Ask how new photographs or genuine reviews get added. Make sure the inquiry links and forms are part of the checks.
For a restaurant, someone must supply the approved menu before it can replace the old one. Name that person in your own update notes. Ask which changes fit the agreed scope and which need a separate quote.
Give small edits a place to go
Choose one place to send changes. Include the page address, the replacement wording and any approved image. If an announcement should come down later, supply that instruction with the original request.
Keep the list open for seasonal changes and new services. Confirm the published page after each batch. A tidy request history helps you spot a change that was discussed but never reached the site.
Ask what gets checked after an edit
A replaced booking link should be opened from the live page. A changed form should be submitted and checked at the receiving end. Ask how the person doing the work reports an issue that falls outside the plan.
Include readable phone layouts and basic accessibility checks. New images should also be checked for loading weight. When a page changes purpose, review its title and description so they still describe what is on it.
Keep the profile in the same routine
Compare the website with your Google Business Profile when hours or services change. Check contact details and the website link too. Use current photographs that help people recognize what they will find.
Decide who updates each surface. The owner handles approval or verification steps that require their access. Keep the request open until both versions have been checked; finishing the website edit alone does not finish the handoff.
